Here are some apps you can enjoy and release your creativity and productivity while staying at your home.
Due to our country’s situation from the pandemic outbreak, netizens are needed to stay in their homes for their own safety. I understand those people who keep themselves positive despite our difficult situation and that’s natural for Filipinos; to have an undying hope and faith. So aside from struggling for our nation’s future we are also struggling to be productive at home. We could take this chance to explore various apps with our family to invest our time for the betterment of our physical, mental and emotional health.
These are divided into 5 different categories: Food, Social, Games, Books, and Wellness. I personally recommend these following apps as I’m also using it for some quiet time. FOOD
1. TASTY
This is one of the most famous food channels that present short informative videos from cooking tutorials to DIY crafts. For those who don’t know they also have a downloadable app available in IOS and Android app stores for FREE. You can watch and learn their no-bake recipe videos and so much more.
2. SUPERCOOK
If you have been wondering what to do with the available ingredients you have in your kitchen, then try to use the Supercook App. They have different recipes for the ingredients that you have, of course, it varies if you have checked many ingredients. 3. BOOKY
I definitely love this app! This is like your VIP card to a lot of discounts and promos in many different restaurants, food chains, and services. Upon downloading this app, you can experience the free trial within 1 month. You could avail of a maximum of 3 discounts per day. You can purchase the Booky GOLD for only PHP149 per month. My favorite discount was Auntie Anne’s Buy 1 Take 1.
SOCIAL
1. TIKTOK
One of the rising social media platforms right now is Tiktok. You can definitely watch them anywhere from Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The good thing about this is you can be creative with any content you want to create, may it be a dance challenge, makeup tutorial or just a funny video. You have unlimited access to creative filters, music, video ideas. Tiktok users can also see and follow other TikTok videos. You can download this for free, available for both IOS and Android devices.
2. IGTV/INSTAGRAM
It also nice to detoxify from the social media platforms so if you don’t have an Instagram account, you can just straight ahead to IG TV to watch interesting videos. Instagram TV has sometimes short interesting videos made by other content creators. You could also create and do your own video log (vlog) on IG TV for free. This app is available for both IOS and Android devices.
3. KUMU
Taking its name from the Pinoy greeting "Kamusta?" Kumu is an inclusive and safe place for young Filipinos to be themselves, and because of it, they are spending hours and hours on the app Kumu, which was launched in February last year, a Filipino-centric social app that lets users host and watches live streams, do virtual hangouts, as well as join interactive quizzes and social games.
4. BUMBLE
This is a social media app which provides real connection with users all across the globe. You can match with lots of different people, depends on how frequent you swipe right (this means you’re interested with them). They now have access for users who wants to make BFF or Dating conversations. This app is available for both IOS and Android devices.

It is known for its creative comic stories around the world by featuring them on their app and website where you can find comics that update weekly. As you explore webtoon, you will find that there are comics that update on specific days of the week instead of every day. This app is available for free download.

This is a quick, easy and free way to learn a new language. You can process everyday your chosen language class to learn language and grammar of a specific language.
