BEST LAKSA IN MALAYSIA IS FINALLY HERE IN THE PH

Most famous Laksa in "Limapulo Baba Can Cook" in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is now here in Mall of Asia Food Hall

It was nice to learn about other culture's cuisine. For this new blog post, i will be sharing my experience about the local Peranakan cuisine from Kuala Lumpur.

About LIMAPULO BABA CAN COOK

Limapulo is a Malaysian company named after its address in the Heritage Row in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Owned by executive chef Baba Tan Kim Chye, or known affectionately as 'Uncle John' together with Mr. Alan Yun, a Malaysian multi-awarded model and actor. Limapulo is offering the finest of Peranakan cuisine. Peranakan originally means "local born in Malay".

The Peranakan people are descendants of Chinese immigrants who came to the Malay archipelago back in the 15th century. The Peranakan men came to be known as Baba, while the women are addressed as Nyonya. Traditionally, only the Nyonya cooks but Limapulo's founder and executive chef is a Baba, hence #babacancook

Limapulo's most celebrated dish is the award-winning Nyonya Laksa. It was awarded as the best in The Star People's Food Awards 2014-2015 in Kuala Lumpur.
LAKSA

It's a spicy noodle soup that consists of thick wheat noodles or rice vermicelli with chicken, prawn or fish, served in spicy soup based on either rich and spicy curry coconut milk or on sour asam (tamarind or gelugur)

LAKSA LIMAPULO IN PHILIPPINES

There is only one branch of Limapulo in Malaysia. The last of the Baba and executive chef of Limapulo 'Uncle John' with Celebrity Alan Yun have franchise their second branch here in the Philippines with Filipino Franchisee Reymont Choachuy and now located at the SM Mall of Asia Food Hall.
